Doodling with Kids

Not just about talent, art or creativity, the doodlings are also the ultimate way to discover the progress of our children. When we're doodling with them, we're entering their room. What they never told to us, appears in that room. The happiness, the sadness, nightmare, laugh, tears, smile, hate, everything. We believe doodling is a perfect way for sharing. Especially when our children still need to learn to communicate well with their parents.

Back Sketching

For years, mouse, stylus, multitouch & tablet successfully keep my hand away from traditional sketching tool: pencil & paper.
So I decide to start a hand exercise.
Got a sketchbook & Faber Castell Pitt graphite pure, sketching everyday in the office.





Though it's not that bad, my parents think that my strokes look stiff. "Too digital, dear."
I don't know what exactly does it mean, but I guess I have to keep exercising more & more.

Geeky Kids

We always tell our kids that we have to create our own toys. Buying toys is okay only for special occasions, eg. birthday.


They show me these toys today: a laptop & a cell-phone. It's just a plain of paper with some doodles. It looks simple but it means a lot for us as their parents. Creativity & imagination can do a lot better than merely buying toys.

Off To The Ocean With Cardboard Boat

We always get hysterical when we see big giant unused cardboard. Fantasy & imagination goes wild. Are going to make a castle? A railroad? A racing car? How about... a boat?



Oh we need to decorate the boat! So we can sail the colorful journey in the ocean!
Oh are we going to see any shark? Flying fish? The Yellow Submarine?
